WHAT IS THE CITIZENS COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS?

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) was formed by the Church of Scientology and psychiatrist-author Thomas Szasz in 1969. It works to expose psychiatric violations of human rights and clean up the field of mental healing. From a single office, it has grown into a powerful international human rights advocacy network of over 100 chapters across 34 nations. It is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, where stands CCHR’s Psychiatry: An Industry of Death Museum chronicling a shocking history of psychiatric brutality—from the horrors of Bedlam and experimentation at the Dachau concentration camp to the wholesale drugging of children for obscene profits.
